Riponite and Professional Organizer, Debra Sweaney-Handley, will help give you the tools to "live with less". This fun and interactive program will help you realize that an orderly life is an extraordinary life! Be prepared to find extra time and energy as you unburden your life of extra "stuff".

Book Sales

Book sales have been great the last few months and we really appreciate your purchasing our books, but now we need to replenish our stock. If you have some gently used books that are relatively new and want to make room in your bookshelves, we could certainly use them. We are planning to have a book drive in June, but if you want to bring them in earlier that would be great

$5.00 A Bag

The library is doing some "weeding" and is in the process of donating all types of books by some great authors. These books are on sale now for $5.00 a bag. The bags, and many of the books, are located across from the money box.

Audio Books

A number of audio books have come in recently. They are great for trips so come in and take a look. Also, we have just received a box Perry Mason books. Ask about them at the desk if you are interested in a bit of literary history.

It's Great to Have Friends

Everywhere you turn, there is news about the budget challenges facing the Stockton San Joaquin Library system which includes the Ripon Memorial Library. Articles have been written that include the possibility of a reduction in service hours, privatizing and layoffs.

While there is much uncertainty, the Friends continue to support, raise funds and advocate for the Ripon Memorial Library. Since the 1970's, the Friends have carried out our mission statement which includes year round support for the Ripon Memorial Library. While the economy has dealt community libraries a tough hand, Friends groups have continued to step up and provide help when it is needed the most. As an advisory group, the Ripon Friends continues to ensure that our work does not stop and are continuing to provide funding for programs, materials and educational resources that are requested from the Ripon community. Our commitment to our mission and to the Ripon community is the driving force behind our keep moving forward efforts. Changes are sure to come but the Friends are committed to providing all that the community has come to expect as our members have empowered us to do.

Join us by continuing to support the Friends through your generous donations, Friends Book Sale purchases, Save Mart S.H.A.R.E.S. card use and ongoing used book donations.
